When Camden Fort Meagher was given to the people of Crosshaven, I was allowed to roam about inside. I retrieved documents from skips, which to me were fascinating remnants of the past and very beautiful, so I used them to collage the surface and then painted the Parade scene, using an old black and white photo of the men serving there in the Slua Muiri.
